Week 31-32

This is a good period to start preparing for childbirth. You’ve probably already read a few things (or maybe your bedside table is littered with pregnancy and birth books?). You can apply for our online information evening about childbirth, which takes place every six weeks and is given by the midwife and a maternity nurse from maternity care de Eilanden. The information session lasts approximately 1.5 hours and is free of charge. You can also take a delivery course. This course takes place at the practice with 2 or 3 other couples. In two evenings, information is given about childbirth and exercises are done to learn how best to cope with your contractions, relaxation exercises, connecting with your baby and massage techniques. It is useful to come with your husband or birthcompanion because he/she will also be actively involved in the course. The course is at your own expense and is often (partly) reimbursed by your insurance. It is also possible to watch all videos via our Youtube channel at a time that suits you.

Your baby is now the size of a Chinese cabbage. Pooh, your child can sometimes kick hard!
